How to Hire a Nanny
A step-by-step Guide
The decision about how to handle childcare is a big one.
By the time my family determined that a nanny was the path for us, we were already exhausted. The idea of figuring out how to now find a nanny seemed incredibly daunting. Especially as a first time parent with a baby and a job and all the things to juggle all while trying to do the research on exactly how one hires a nanny.
In the end, I blended my corporate experience as a manager with a bunch of research from within my community and set forth to find our perfect nanny.
And it worked!
The first person we hired has been with us for over a year with no end in sight.
Figuring how who will take care of our kids is a big decision, if my experience can help make your experience a little bit easier - then I'm so happy to share with you.
As parents we are already juggling so many things, adding one more 'to-do' into the mix is tricky. For that reason, this Guide comes in three formats:
- Downloadable/printable PDF
- Audio files (think audio book or podcast)
- Online classroom
You can use any combination of these methods to allow you to review the various sections within this Guide.
Within the Guide you will find:
- Literal step-by-step walk through of how to hire a nanny, the full outline is available below
- Access to templates, resources and pre-written things so that you never start with a blank page
- Support in how to train and retain your nanny once you find them
I won't sugar-coat it, there will still be lots of work for you to do throughout this process. You will have lots of decisions to make and you'll have to customize all of the resources to fit your family.
However, if you work through the Guide, one step at a time, you will at least have a roadmap to guide you.
I’ve had an unusual, rich life, reinventing myself many times. This allowed me to enjoy early success as a corporate strategist for Fortune 50 companies as well as explore many different spiritual and personal development modalities. I gathered many tools, methods and modalities along the way.
In addition to working with small businesses to scale their operations, I also act as as a spiritual mentor and teach online classes on increasing self-awareness. I've used those resources to provide this Guide to fellow moms!
